Before Starting The Game
If your game already has mods, it would be best to shift them into the Mods folder for the particular game, retrieved by clicking the Open Mods Folder button.
Separate mods by folder. The mods list is generated by taking those folder names. Make sure you do this since when you get to the building process, the ~mods folder will be erased.
Getting Started
1. Prerequisites
When you first open the exe, you’ll get a message saying to install .NET 5 Runtime if you don’t already have it installed. Please do so if that’s the case.
2. Setup
The following thing you want to do is choose the game you wish to mod from the dropdown menu, then click the Setup button. From there, you would have to choose the definite game exe that it’s asking for. Once you do that, Unverum will switch the rest and know when the setup is finished.
3. Installing Mods
Before you can achieve and load some mods, you have to install some.
There are 3 methods of doing this:
Using the built-in Mod Browser tab to transfer mods found on GameBanana
Using 1-click fix buttons from browsing mods straight from the GameBanana site.
Download mods from other websites like Nexus or VideoGameMods and extract them directly to your mods folder, which you can access by pressing the Open Mods Folder button
4. Manage Modules
Managing mods is as easy as dragging row order to prioritize top and activate the mods you want in the build. Once you have your desired loadout, be sure to click the Build button. Once the building finished, you can finally press start.
Warning: Every time you click build, Unverum erases everything from the ~mods directory, so be sure to save or move any projects or mods you have there before setting up Unverum.
5. Automatic Updates
Unverum also supports automatic updates for mods downloaded from GameBanana using the built-in browser or one-click install buttons. And also, Click the Check for Unverum Updates button to check if there are any available for the current game.
Self-updates for Unverum also supported, so you don’t need to keep checking back here to see if you have the latest version. However, these checked every time on launch.
Download Unverum Mod Manager
There is a link that has a download linkage at the top that isn’t Github. To use GitHub if you wish to know for upcoming use, I think it should be at the bottom beneath assets, generally with the name of whatever you’re downloading rather than the basis code files. Here’s a picture I took. Then here’s the GitHub link. Lastly, there’s this video that goes over the process fast
